Solid hardwood boards are joined together using the tongue

floor of your floor plan because it is also susceptible to warping from
humidity. Your solid wood floor's lifespan can be increased by sanding it down
every few years. Engineered wood floors are often created by laminating together
two, three, or five thin sheets of wood to create a single plank. The top layer
is then covered with a wood veneer. Compared to a solid wood floor, this
structure results in a wood floor that is dimensionally stable and less
susceptible to moisture. Solid pieces of wood with tongue and groove sides are
used to construct solid wood floors. Although many 3/4" solid wood floors
are pre-finished, they often consist of unfinished floors. Moist conditions can
